10/12/06 The winner for 2006 is the Hawkes Bay team - congratulations!. The Hawkes Bay team was Sharon Cannon, Bethne Rouse, John Maxwell, Lee Tafford, Maurice Beltz and Robert Wilson.

The Wellington team was Susan Norman, Dean Norman, Enoka Smiler, Myles Cowper, Nick Jagouse and Graeme Morris with Dirk Winnie the coach.

 

Results:

Wgtn won singles 4 games to 2, lost doubles 3 nil which meant that Wellington needed to win 3 out of the 4 remaining triples games. Wellington won the first 2 games so only had to win one of the last two games but did not manage to do this - so HB lift the trophy for the first time.
