Masterton

Invitation

The French Petanque team will be in Masterton for two nights and one day as part of their North Island Tour in January 2008.

The Masterton Club, in conjunction with Trust House, is proud to host the team and we are holding the following events.

29 January 2008

1.00pm to 5pm - Melee This will be limited to the French team plus 45 other entrants.

The format will be four games and players will rotate partners after each round and carry individual points through to the end of play. This will allow as many players as possible to play either with or against the French players.

Entry Fee is $5 per player.

5.00pm to 6.00pm - Shooting Demonstration by the French players

7.00pm - BBQ tea. Entry fee $10. The bar will be open (a chance to mix and mingle with the French players)

After tea there will be an opportunity for players to challenge the French team to a game of triples. If needed, a draw will be held to find the challenging teams. It is intended to play as many games as possible, given that it will be a full day for the French team.

Entry Fee is $5 per player.

All proceeds from the day will go to the French Tour Fund to help cover running costs for the tour.

As we need numbers for catering etc, please RSVP on the form below by 15 January 2008
