French World Petanque Champions

New Zealand Visit, January 2008

PNZ announces that a French team will visit New Zealand from 23rd January to 31st January 2008. This will be a great opportunity for the New Zealand petanque community to see some of the worlds top players in action.

The French team will comprise of: Philippe Suchaud (Shooter), Philippe Quintais (Milieur), Bruno Rocher (Pointer) and Victor Natif (Technical Director)

The team will travel around the North Island visiting two regions: Auckland and Wellington. PNZ did ask the FIPJP to extend the visit and re-arrange the dates (adding another weekend) so that the team would have time to visit the South Island but the FIPJP advised they were unable to extend the visit.

The Itinerary is now final.

PNZ has established an organising committee comprising regional representatives:

Dirk Winnie: d.winnie(at)avalon.school.nz

Joanne Lippard: joanne(at)integratedpm.co.nz

David Lippard: david(at)integratedpm.co.nz

Trevor Neilson: trevorandsue(at)xtra.co.nz

Bryan Wells: bawells(at)xtra.co.nz

This committee will be responsible for organising all aspects of the visit and will work closely with their respective regions to ensure the region's requests are met during their part of the itinerary.

The key outputs PNZ has requested from this visit include:

Team presence and response to regional itinerary requests

PNZ meeting with the technical Director (Victor Natif) and Coach (Philippe Quintais).

If anyone would like to put forward any thoughts on this event or ideas you may have about fundraising or the itinerary, please contact a member of the organising committee.
